Spring Lake, NC –September 2012 – Women are affected by cancer every day. These women have no strength to even lift a broom to clean their house. That’s where Divine Domestic Cleaning Services comes in. Divine Domestic has partnered with Cleaning For A Reason to donate their time and energy to clean women’s homes for free. Studies have shown that a clean environment is integral to a cancer patient’s recovery.
Divine Domestic has signed up to clean two homes at a time for women with cancer; once a month for four consecutive months. “We are honored to be a part of such an amazing organization”, says Dovie Lanns of Divine Domestic Cleaning Services. “We joined Cleaning For A Reason so that we can provide a Natural Aromatherapy Cleaning to help women in our community that feel like they have lost hope and don’t have the energy or ability clean their home. We want them to feel like we are still here and there is still hope.”
Cleaning For A Reason partners with local cleaning companies from the United States and Canada to offer free housecleaning to women in need. In the past twelve months, Cleaning For A Reason has gone from 800 partners to over 1,000 partnered maid services. The organization has donated $1.3 million worth of cleanings to more than 4,600 women just in the past two years. Cleaning services that have partnered with Cleaning For A Reason have collectively donated over $2.9 million in free services to more than 10,000 women with cancer since 2006.
