100 Cleaning professionals gather for Business Conference and Appreciation Banquet
Dallas, TX, August 27, 2012– Members of the professional cleaning community gathered for the second annual best practices business conference, the Edu-Sational Conference and Appreciation Banquet August 24-25. The conference was hosted by the Cleaning For A Reason foundation. The Appreciation Banquet culminating the conference was sponsored by The Maids International. The Maids International, based out of Omaha, NE, has more than 70 franchisees participating in the Cleaning For A Reason program.
“The Maids is proud to support the Cleaning for a Reason Foundation in their efforts to provide free housecleaning services for women undergoing cancer treatment,” said Colin Bishop, President/CEO of The Maids International. “Many of our franchise owners and team members across the country feel privileged and honored to give back to their communities in this way. Providing a truly clean home is our small way of helping improve these women’s lives when they need additional support and care.” Colin Bishop has served on the Board of Directors for Cleaning For A Reason for two years and assists with strategic planning, and serves on the executive search committee .
The Cleaning For A Reason foundation was started in 2006 by Lewisville, Texas business woman, Debbie Sardone. They partner with more than 1,000 professional cleaning companies across the United States and Canada that donate their services to women undergoing cancer treatment. Cleaning For A Reason has served more than 9,000 women with cancer since its inception. The conference serves as a way to honor and recognize the attendees for serving thousands of women with cancer free of charge.

Attendees of the conference experienced industry-specific workshops, industry trade tips and business training. Topics covered strategic marketing, growing a business and motivating staff. Renowned keynote speakers, Anita Renfroe, David A. Rich and Jeff Crilley, made a speaking appearance at the conference.
