Orangevale’s Annual “Name Your Price” Yard Sale Raises the Bar Again

LOCAL CLEANING COMPANY MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Orangevale, CA – May 21, 2026 – Huge thanks to Bright & Sparkly Cleaning Service for hosting its second annual “Name Your Price” Community Yard Sale on May 2nd-3rd in Orangevale in support of two meaningful nonprofit partners: Cleaning for a Reason and Jake’s Journey Home.
Proceeds from the event help provide free home cleanings for cancer patients through Cleaning for a Reason, while also supporting veterans, unhoused individuals, and underserved neighbors through Jake’s Journey Home by helping connect them with housing resources, support services, and pathways toward greater stability.
Since partnering with Cleaning for a Reason in 2020, Bright & Sparkly Cleaning has supported 83 cancer patients with $36,353 in donated cleanings. Year-round, the company works with the nonprofit to support up to six cancer patients each month for two consecutive months, serving Orangevale, Sacramento, and the surrounding areas. Cancer patients of any age, gender, or cancer type can apply for free home cleaning services at cleaningforareason.org.
“We are so proud and want to thank all the volunteers from Jake’s Journey Home and my team at Bright & Sparkly Cleaning Service who help make this a successful event,” said owner Michelle Ritchie. “We raised a total of $2,400 for Cleaning for a Reason and Jake’s Journey Home.
