LOCAL COMPANY MAKING A DIFFERENCE DURING COVID-19
Plattsburgh, NY – May 11, 2020 – X-TREME CLEAN has been donating cleaning services to local cancer patients for the past nine years through their partnership with nonprofit Cleaning for a Reason. Owners Cathy Bashaw and Carol Robert are committed to making a difference for families in the community and are committed to extending their reach to helping cancer patients.
“We are proud partners with Cleaning for a Reason and joined as soon as we learned of the organization’s existence,” recalled Bashaw. “We feel this partnership and what we offer to cancer patients is not only good for the patient but good for our ‘souls.’ We are fortunate we can give back to our community and assist cancer patients with essential cleanings to help keep their environment clean, safe, and healthy for themselves and their families.”
Robert continued, “I am a 15-year survivor of colon cancer. During this COVID-19 crisis, I am particularly aware of how important it is to clean for cancer patients as they shelter in place. We are here to do our part, while wearing masks and gloves to ensure that we properly clean, sanitize, and disinfect homes. All staff also practice proper social distancing in the home while they clean.”
Through partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, X-TREME CLEAN supports two homes per month for two consecutive months free of charge. This is an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in Clinton County.
