LOCAL CLEANING COMPANY ANNOUNCES NEW OWNERSHIP
Cleveland, OH – March 13, 2026 – Jennifer and Chad Bernard, new owners of The Cleaning Authority of Cleveland, are proud to announce a partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit that provides free residential cleaning services to individuals undergoing cancer treatment.
The Bernards recently assumed ownership of the well-established Cleveland territory, which has served the community for more than 20 years, following the previous owner’s retirement. Longtime residents of Olmsted Falls and satisfied customers of The Cleaning Authority for more than 15 years, Jennifer and Chad saw the transition to owners as an opportunity to continue—and expand—a legacy of reliable service rooted in community care.
The Cleaning Authority of Cleveland serves 12 Westside Cleveland communities reaching as far north as Bay Village, south to Olmsted Falls, and throughout surrounding areas including Lakewood.
The mission of Cleaning for a Reason is deeply personal to the Bernards. Cancer has touched the lives of many of their family members and friends, and Jennifer’s connection is especially close: her twin sister overcame breast cancer two years ago.
“I remember feeling helpless, wanting to do more to help the person closest to me,” says Jennifer. “Often, all you can do is be supportive and help them not have to worry about the routine stressors of day-to-day life—like cleaning the house—while they focus on their health. I have such gratitude that God brought her through that, and this is our way to pay it forward.”
Prior to the Bernards becoming owners, The Cleaning Authority of Cleveland partnered with Cleaning for a Reason beginning in 2009 under former owner Mike Fransko, with strong support from longtime team members and managers Lisa Zingalie and Katie Kole. The Bernards are proud to continue this meaningful partnership, ensuring that individuals and families battling cancer in their community can receive home cleanings that help reduce stress, create a healthier living environment, and allow them to focus on treatment and recovery.
Through partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, The Cleaning Authority of Cleveland will donate cleanings for two cancer patients each month, providing two consecutive months of service for residents in the area.
Cancer patients—of any age, gender, or type of cancer—may apply for free cleanings at cleaningforareason.org, giving them the relief of a clean, healthy home when it is needed most.
This local commitment is part of The Cleaning Authority’s Corporate Franchise Partnership with Cleaning for a Reason. Since 2009, franchise locations across North America have supported 1,906 cancer patients, donating $727,248 in cleanings and reaffirming the brand’s dedication to helping families focus on healing, not housekeeping.
