LOCAL COMPANY MAKING A DIFFERENCE DURING COVID-19
Bowmanville, ON – August 24, 2020 – Get It Done Home Cleaning Service has been donating home cleanings to local cancer patients for the past two years through their partnership with nonprofit Cleaning for a Reason. Since 2018, Get It Done Home Cleaning Service has helped seven cancer patients with a total donated value of $2,806 in cleanings.
“We are committed to giving back to our community,” said Keri-Anne Collis, owner and operator of Get It Done Home Cleaning Service. “I have always been passionate about helping others. I’m honored to be making a difference for cancer patients. It’s my hope that cancer patients can focus on their health and family, while we focus on their home.”
Through partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, Get It Done Home Cleaning Service supports two homes each month for two consecutive months free of charge. This is an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in Durham and the surrounding area.
Collis emphasized, “During this COVID-19 crisis, I want to help our clients, and especially the cancer patients we serve, reside in a clean, safe, healthy home. To that end, I have completed two certifications: one from GBAC’s (Global Biorisk Advisory Council) Cleaning & Disinfection Principles with emphasis on SARS-CoV-2/Covid-19 and the second from the School of Modern Cleaning to perform standard residential maintenance cleaning in a safe and responsible way in today’s COVID-19 world. We are also following CDC guidelines by using an EPA-approved disinfectant, wearing masks and gloves, and practicing social distancing when inside the home.”
