LOCAL COMPANY MAKING A DIFFERENCE DURING COVID-19
Montgomery, AL – August 26, 2020 – Busy B’s Cleaning Services has teamed up with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit providing free house cleaning to cancer patients. Owner Brittany Herrig is committed to making a difference for families in the community and wants to extend their reach to helping cancer patients.
“I have chosen this particular outreach because I have lost many to cancer,” said Herrig (left). “In particular, my grandmother passed away after a long and painful battle with multiple myeloma. Even after 10 years, I still wish I could have done more to ease her struggle. So I am doing this volunteer work in tribute to my dear nanny, Anne Harrison (right). I hope to relieve a small burden from the shoulders of those facing the unimaginable.”
Herrig added, “I firmly believe that a cleaner house leads to a healthier life. With a clean, tidy home, bacteria and germs have less places to hide. With enough sickness going around during COVID-19, I’m committed to helping our clients, especially the cancer patients we serve, to keep their homes and families safe. Our company is following CDC guidelines of using an EPA-approved disinfectant and wearing masks and gloves, while practicing social distancing when cleaning in a home.”
Through partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, Busy B’s Cleaning Services supports two homes each month for two consecutive months free of charge. This is an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in Montgomery and the surrounding areas.
