Calico Cleaning Hosts Cleaning for Cancer Day on Oct 20th

LOCAL COMPANY MAKING A DIFFERENCE
South Haven, MI – October 12, 2021 – Calico Cleaning, LLC will be hosting Cleaning for Cancer Day on Wednesday, October 20th, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The company will be donating house cleaning services to eight cancer patients. Calico Cleaning does this in partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit they have worked with since 2019.
“Cleaning for a Reason is a nationwide network of caring small businesses like Calico Cleaning that believe in the difference a clean home can make for patients battling cancer and treatment,” said Merchant. “We are grateful to provide the comfort and peace of mind that comes with having a clean home. And if a cancer patient lives in our service territory—Bangor, Bloomingdale, Breedsville, Covert, Grand Junction, Lacota, South Haven, Fennville, Glenn, or Pullman—the patient can request Calico Cleaning to come clean their home.”
Cleaning for a Reason connects with over 1,200 maid services throughout the United States and Canada, providing free house cleaning services to families battling cancer. Cleaning for a Reason is successful every year because of the people and companies that support it. There are four ways to participate with this important cause:
1. Nominate: If any cancer patient you know is currently receiving treatment, recovering from surgery, or in hospice care, and they live in the United States or Canada, please nominate them, with their permission, to have their house cleaned by a Cleaning for a Reason Partner. Any adult or child in active cancer treatment is eligible. You may fill out the application for yourself or on behalf of a friend or family member. 2. Partner: More cleaning partners are needed. Residential cleaning companies are instrumental in helping Cleaning for a Reason make a positive impact.
