eMaids of Lee County Provides Free House Cleaning to Local Cancer Patients

Lee County, FL – October 27, 2026 – When someone is facing cancer, even everyday tasks can become overwhelming. As eMaids of Lee County launches its new cleaning business in Southwest Florida, owners Samantha and Jason Hood are marking the occasion with a meaningful commitment to the community: a partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit organization that provides free home cleaning services to cancer patients.
“For us, this partnership is about so much more than cleaning a home. October is widely recognized as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, making it a powerful time to recognize the strength of those affected by cancer and the importance of supporting patients beyond their medical care. While awareness helps spark conversations, meaningful community action can help make the day-to-day realities of treatment a little easier.
Through the program, eMaids of Lee County will provide complimentary home cleaning services to two households each month for two consecutive months, supporting cancer patients throughout Lee County. It is a practical gesture that carries a deeply personal message: you are not alone, and your community cares.
As Cleaning for a Reason celebrates 20 years of providing comfort to cancer patients through the gift of clean homes, eMaids of Lee County is proud to join a nationwide community of cleaning professionals using their skills to make a difference. The partnership reflects a shared belief that small acts of kindness can have an extraordinary impact, especially when life presents its greatest challenges.
Through its Corporate Franchise Partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, eMaids engages its nationwide network to raise awareness of the nonprofit through marketing, social media, and events. Since joining the cause in 2022, eMaids has supported 102 cancer patients with donated cleanings valued at $30,522.
