The Maids of Arlington Donating Services to Cancer Patients

LOCAL COMPANY MAKING A DIFFERENCE DURING COVID-19
Arlington, TX – April 21, 2021 – The Maids of Arlington has teamed up with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit serving cancer patients through free home cleaning. For 17 years, owner Jona Boney has known the difference that a clean home can make for cancer patients and their families.
Said Boney, “Before acquiring my own franchise this month, I was already a part of The Maids family with a different location that was working with Cleaning for a Reason. For 17 years, I experienced the joy and gratitude on patients’ faces when we finished cleaning their homes and it is something I will never forget. I knew when I launched my own franchise, I would be partnering with Cleaning for a Reason from Day 1. Coming from a family that has had members fight, lose, and win their war with cancer, I can’t think of a better way to help and support a cancer patient than by providing a clean, safe, healthy home.”
Through partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, The Maids of Arlington assists cancer patients by cleaning two homes per month for two consecutive months free of charge. This will be an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in Arlington, Grand Prairie, Desoto, Duncanville, Mansfield, Dallas, Waxahachie, Midlothian, and Red Oak.
Boney emphasized, “During this COVID-19 crisis, we are cleaning for health. We are using an EPA-approved disinfectant, which is effective at killing viruses, including coronavirus, to thoroughly clean and disinfect surfaces. We are avoiding cross contamination by using fresh cleaning cloths in each home and disinfecting vacuums, tools, and buckets between homes. We are also daily screening our teams, practicing social distancing, and wearing disposable gloves, shoe covers, and masks.”
