Cleaning for a Reason Reflects on Post-Pandemic Progress and Celebrates Unwavering Support
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Rosemont, Ill. – October 25, 2023 – Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit dedicated to providing cleaning services to cancer patients, is thrilled to announce its recent Town Hall event, which took place on October 5th. The organization expresses its deepest gratitude to its partners for their continued support, which has been instrumental in achieving its mission of making a meaningful impact.
During the Town Hall, Cleaning for a Reason reflected on its post-pandemic progress and highlighted the incredible difference that its partners’ support has made. The organization recognizes the generosity and dedication of its partners as a constant source of inspiration. Testimonials from those spotlighted and cancer patients served provided firsthand evidence of the positive transformations enabled by their partners’ support.
Key accomplishments in 2023 include:
- Projections to serve 5,400 cancer patients
- Expanding to support 1,300 cleaning partners
- Raising an impressive $581,000 in support of the cause
The challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic made cancer patients understandably cautious about allowing outsiders into their homes. Cleaning for a Reason seeks to convey that the professional cleaning industry is well-equipped and knowledgeable in ensuring their safety and well-being. Since its inception in 2006, the nonprofit has provided cleaning services to over 51,500 cancer patients, with a total donated cleaning value of $17,768,140. The organization also maintains a directory of 3,500 patient navigators and support groups for patient referrals.
During the event, special recognition was given to SoTellUs for being this year’s top in-kind sponsor, as they generously donated their review service to help capture patient reviews, testimonials, and impactful stories. Notable sponsors of Cleaning for a Reason include Two Maids, You’ve Got Maids, United Laboratories, Allset, Maid Right, Truly Free, CleanPacs, Speed Cleaning, Hospeco, C4 Operations, Golden Star, and eMaids. Additionally, a challenge named “Each One Reach One” was issued, encouraging cleaning partners to bring in an additional partner for 2024.
The contributions of partners and sponsors have significantly expanded Cleaning for a Reason’s reach, allowing the organization to provide essential cleaning services to even more cancer patients. By lightening their load and ensuring a clean and safe living environment, these services enable patients to focus on their health and recovery.
