FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LOCAL CLEANING COMPANY OWNER MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Taylor, MI – May 29, 2026 – Cleaning for a Reason proudly celebrates longtime cleaning partner Makayla Green, owner of Green’s Family Cleaning Services, LLC, for being named the 2026 Women of Achievement Entrepreneur of the Year by the Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber.

The award recognizes women throughout the region who demonstrate exceptional leadership in business, nonprofit service, and community impact. Makayla Green will be honored during the chamber’s 10th annual Women of Achievement Awards celebration presented by PNC Bank on October 9 at Crystal Gardens.

“I can’t hide my excitement to be nominated alongside such amazing women,” expressed Green. “I want to thank everyone in my community who supports my small business, as well as my amazing employees, because I would be absolutely nowhere without them.”

Since partnering with Cleaning for a Reason in 2019, Green’s Family Cleaning Services has donated cleaning services to 26 cancer patients, providing support valued at $7,165. Through the partnership, the company helps individuals battling cancer receive the gift of a clean, healthy home during a difficult time in their lives.

“Makayla’s leadership extends far beyond her business,” said Lucy Lee, Program Manager for Cleaning for a Reason. “Her continued commitment to serving cancer patients with compassion and care reflects the type of community impact this award was created to recognize.”

Through this partnership, Green’s Family Cleaning Services provides up to two local cancer patients each month with two consecutive months of donated house cleaning. Services are available for cancer patients residing in Taylor, Deerborn, Garden City, and surrounding areas.

Cancer patients of any age, gender, or type of cancer can apply at cleaningforareason.org.

As Cleaning for a Reason celebrates 20 years of supporting cancer patients across North America, partnerships like Green’s Family Cleaning Services continue to expand the nonprofit’s reach and impact—helping more families experience the comfort of a clean, healthy home during treatment.
