Whiteland, IN – June 4, 2026 – AJ’s Picture Perfect Cleaning, Inc., a woman-owned residential and commercial cleaning company, is deepening its commitment to community care through a partnership with the nonprofit Cleaning for a Reason, which provides free home cleaning services to individuals facing a cancer diagnosis.
Founded on January 9, 2020, by owner Amber Himelick, AJ’s Picture Perfect Cleaning began with just $39 in the bank and was initially operated out of a garage and kitchen. Through rapid early growth, the company expanded quickly, moving into a dedicated office space in Whiteland within its first year of operation. Today, the company serves both residential and commercial clients across Whiteland, Greenwood, Franklin, Trafalgar, Bargersville, Nineveh, and the South Indianapolis region.
The partnership is especially meaningful to Himelick, who is not only committed to giving back to the community that has supported her, but also because her personal experience with cancer has shaped her mission of service and compassion.
“My mother was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer, and although she ultimately passed in 2020 due to COVID-19, she beat cancer and demonstrated incredible strength, courage, and resilience throughout her journey,” said owner Amber Himelick. “Watching her navigate such a difficult experience deeply shaped who I am today and reinforced my commitment to serving others in meaningful ways. Helping families during such a challenging time is something I genuinely care about, and it’s an honor to be able to support cancer patients and their loved ones through the work we do.”
Through this ongoing partnership, AJ’s Picture Perfect Cleaning will provide two local cancer patients each month with two consecutive months of complimentary professional home cleaning services. These donated cleanings help reduce the physical burden and emotional stress of maintaining a household during treatment. Serving patients across Central and Southern Indiana, these services offer practical relief, comfort, and dignity to individuals and families navigating cancer care.
