FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LOCAL CLEANING COMPANY MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Bend/Redmond, OR – February 12, 2020 – Cleaner Living NW has been donating cleaning services to cancer patients for the past five years through its partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit serving cancer households through the gift of clean. Since October 2015, Cleaner Living NW has helped 16 cancer patients with donated cleanings valued at a total of $7,082. Owner Elizabeth Buchanan is committed to helping even more cancer patients in the community.

“My grandfather was diagnosed with cancer 10 years ago and I saw how the chemo affected his health and our family,” said Buchanan. “He went from being a ‘do everything on the farm, fix it all’ type to someone who is now bed ridden and cannot hear, taste, or barely see, all in a short while after going through chemo. My grandmother is exhausted and can barely keep up with cooking daily meals, let alone any house work. Free house cleaning is priceless to a family dealing with cancer.”

Buchanan continued, “I want local families to know they are not alone dealing with cancer. It has changed my life to see hope restored when we show up ready to tackle the dirt and grime, all while using non-toxic cleaning products that are safe for their fragile immune system.”

Through partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, Cleaner Living NW works with cancer patients to clean at least five homes per month for two consecutive months free of charge. This will be an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in Bend, Redmond, Sisters, Powell Butte, Madras, Culver, Portland, and surrounding areas within 20 miles.

About Cleaner Living NW
Cleaner Living NW is a locally owned, non-franchised company. Elizabeth Buchanan started the business when she was 19 years old and has grown it into a two-location business in Redmond and Portland with more than 70 cleaners. The company performs more than 1,000 cleans every month, specializing in residential cleaning, Airbnb/vacation rental turnover cleaning, window cleaning, and carpet cleaning.

Cleaner Living NW uses the owner’s own line of all natural, hypo-allergenic cleaning products developed with top chemist “Nurturals” (mynurturas.com). All products are unscented and the staff uses the Nurturals line of organic essential oils to scent the cleaning products customized to each client’s preference. The products contain no chemicals and no synthetic fragrances and are safe for people with weakened immune systems, like those undergoing chemo treatment. For more information about this company, go to cleanerliving.com.
