FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Metro Vancouver, BC– August 14, 2026 – Cleaning for a Reason, an ISSA Charities™ signature program providing free home cleaning for cancer patients, is hosting a Volunteer Day on Wednesday, August 19, in Metro Vancouver. This event highlights the program’s mission while offering essential support to cancer patients.

Since 2006, Cleaning for a Reason has provided free home cleaning to 2,041 cancer patients in Canada, totaling over $714,718 in donated services. More than 270 Canadian cleaning companies have participated in this mission, and today, 50 companies are actively serving patients throughout the country year-round. The goal is to continue expanding this reach, bringing the gift of a clean home to even more cancer patients across Canada.

Volunteer Participation and Supporting Organizations

On this special day, 20 volunteers from ISSA Canada and its member firms will participate, including volunteers from Bunzl Canada, Dustbane Products Ltd., and Tork.

Working alongside professional cleaning crew chiefs from Your Clean Solution, volunteers will provide high-quality, complimentary home cleaning for five cancer patients. But this effort goes beyond cleaning—it’s about bringing relief, comfort, and dignity to those in the midst of their health battles, allowing them to focus on what truly matters.

Founded in 2026 by owner Polina Sandulova, who moved to Canada from Crimea in 2023, Your Clean Solution was built with a vision to grow, create opportunities, and give back to the community. “I started Your Clean Solution with a bigger vision than simply building a cleaning company,” said Sandulova. “We’re grateful for the opportunity to participate in Volunteer Day and support Cleaning for a Reason and our industry’s commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of cancer patients and their families. It’s an honor to come together with others in our industry to give back and make a positive impact.”

Sandulova continued, “For someone facing cancer, having one less household responsibility can provide meaningful relief. We’re proud to turn the work we do every day into an opportunity to ease the load for families during a challenging time and remind them they’re not alone.”

The Power of Volunteer Days and Corporate Responsibility

Volunteer Days like this one highlight the generosity and commitment of businesses prioritizing social responsibility. ISSA Canada, Bunzl Canada, Dustbane Products Ltd., Tork, Your Clean Solution, and ISSA Canada member firms are leading by example, demonstrating how companies can create lasting impact by dedicating their time, resources, and expertise to those in need.

Lucy Lee, Cleaning for a Reason Program Manager, emphasized the impact that industry collaboration can have on families facing cancer. “When our industry comes together to serve others, the impact reaches far beyond a single volunteer day,” said Lee. “The dedication of our partners and volunteers helps Cleaning for a Reason connect with more cancer patients and families, offering meaningful relief when they need it most. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who gives their time, resources, and compassion to help make this support possible.”
