Your Girl Friday! Celebrates Two Years of Cleaning for Cancer Patients

LOCAL COMPANY MAKING A DIFFERENCE DURING COVID-19
Alpena, MI – October 13, 2020 – Your Girl Friday! has been donating cleaning services to local cancer patients for the past two years through their partnership with nonprofit Cleaning for a Reason. Owner and operator Tara Stone and her son Andrew Stone, professional cleaning technician, understand the importance of a clean environment when undergoing illness and are committed to making a difference for cancer patients and their families.
“Now more than ever, this is a cause that we strongly believe in,” said Andrew Stone. “Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, we have taken extreme action and have received multiple certifications toward awareness and prevention protocols that are aligned with the CDC recommendations. Your Girl Friday! is highly trained on the proper cleaning process for applying each cleaning product, using top-of-the-line hospital grade disinfecting products. Our Electrostatic application not only disinfects surfaces, but also adheres in places that regular cleaning products cannot reach to prevent cross contamination.”
Said Tara Stone, “But most importantly, we have adopted strict policies, safety measures, and continuing education to provide disinfecting and sanitary needs for all cancer patients and their environment so that patients can continue fighting the fight, virus free. I can relate to how important this is as my mom was a cancer survivor before passing away this past June of another ailment, and my dad passed away in 2017, losing his battle to leukemia. We are honored to give patients a clean, healthy home environment so they can concentrate on their cancer battle and their family.”
Since partnering with Cleaning for a Reason, Your Girl Friday! has supported three cancer patients with donated cleanings valued at $535. Owner Tara Stone is committed to raising awareness and easing the burden of cleaning for more cancer patients in the area. Through the Cleaning for a Reason partnership, Your Girl Friday! will assist cancer patients by cleaning two homes per month for two consecutive months free of charge.
