NATIONAL CLEANING FOR A REASON WEEK, APRIL 18-24
Covington, GA – April 16 2020 – Local company TMC Cleaning Services, Inc. has been donating cleaning services to cancer patients for the past eight years through their partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit serving cancer patients through free home cleaning. TMC Cleaning Services wants to bring heightened awareness of the cause to the area during National Cleaning For A Reason Week, April 18-24. The goal is to help more households battling any type of cancer.
“My life has been touched by cancer as my mom was an ovarian cancer survivor and my dad lost his battle with cancer at an early age,” said owner Terry Clayton. “I know how important a clean home is to a cancer patient with a compromised immune system. All of our maids are trained to clean, sanitize, and disinfect and are wearing masks and gloves for everyone’s safety during the coronavirus pandemic. If anyone would like more information about sanitizing and disinfecting your home, we can help.”
Cleaning is truly a family business—all members of owner Terry Clayton’s family have their own cleaning business. Said Clayton, “I’m thrilled to have shared this passion with my mom and two sisters of supporting our communities through our respective businesses. Mom passed away in 2018 and helped cancer patients until the very end. I’m committed to following her example of giving back to the community.”
For the past eight years, TMC Cleaning Services has generously donated services to 74 cancer patients, at a total donated value of $28,225 in cleanings. Through their partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, TMC Cleaning Services cleans at least six homes per month for two consecutive months free of charge. This will be an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in Covington, Conyers, Oxford, Monroe, Loganville, Grayson, Jersey, Social Circle, and Walnut Grove.
