The Cleaning Ladies Offers Free Home Cleaning to Cancer Patients

LOCAL COMPANY MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Oshawa, Ontario – March 31, 2022 – The Cleaning Ladies has partnered with nonprofit Cleaning for a Reason to help local cancer patients. Owner Karen Conchie is committed to making a difference in the community and wants to extend their reach to helping cancer patients.
“Cancer has touched every one of us at The Cleaning Ladies in one way or another and we can empathise deeply with the patients and the families,” said Conchie. “We feel this cause allows us to give back to our community in an enriching way. We find it incredibly rewarding that the patients and the families we serve can enjoy a clean, safe space during one of the most trying times in their lives.”
Through their partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, The Cleaning Ladies cleans two homes per month for two consecutive months free of charge. This is an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in Durham Region and Bowmanville.

Operating since 2014, The Cleaning Ladies has cleaned hundreds of homes and offices. Independently owned, the company takes pride in being an all-female leadership team, where all managers have started with the company as cleaning techs. Owner Karen Conchie worked as an executive assistant for more than 20 years and knew she needed a change.
