LOCAL COMPANY NAMED #4 NATIONWIDE FOR CHARITABLE CLEANINGS

Ramsey, MN – February 5, 2026 – The Cleaning Authority of Minneapolis, locally owned and operated by Jim and Kathy Brethorst, is celebrating an incredible milestone—one year of partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit that provides free home cleaning services to cancer patients.

Known for more than just quality cleaning, the company is deeply committed to giving back to its community. Since cleaning for their first cancer patient in January 2025, The Cleaning Authority of Minneapolis has supported a total of 51 cancer patients, donating $23,800 in cleaning services to help ease the burden of treatment. This dedication has not gone unnoticed—the company was recently recognized by Cleaning for a Reason as the #4 Top Partner nationwide for most patients served in 2025.
“Just over a year ago, we set out with a simple goal: to bring a little comfort and relief to families facing one of life’s toughest challenges,” said Jim Brethorst. “Every home we clean, every patient we help, reminds us why we do this. It’s more than dusting and mopping—it’s creating a space where someone can breathe, feel peace, and focus on healing. I am endlessly grateful to our team, our customers, and everyone who makes these moments of care possible.”
Patients agree that the impact is profound. “For the last nine months I have been treated for cancer and many cleaning tasks have been pushed aside,” said Carol Vilendrer, a Cleaning for a Reason recipient. “Two wonderful women from The Cleaning Authority of Minneapolis came to clean, and not only did they do a fantastic job, they were also very friendly. Thank you so much for offering your service—you have made me extremely happy and excited to have a clean house. You both are angels.”
