MaidPro of Lancaster Marks 13 Years Supporting Cancer Patients

LOCAL FRANCHISE CONTINUES MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Lancaster, PA – February 2, 2026 – MaidPro of Lancaster has maintained a longstanding partnership with Cleaning for a Reason since 2013, supporting 15 cancer households with donated home cleanings valued at more than $8,000. Through this collaboration, the locally owned franchise helps ease the everyday burden faced by cancer patients and their families in the Lancaster area.
For owner Nichole Kambesis, the decision to get involved was rooted in lived experience and a deep understanding of how all-consuming a cancer diagnosis can be.
“Cancer takes over every part of life,” said Kambesis. “I lost my mom to breast cancer more than 30 years ago. There are constant appointments, treatments, and tests, and in the middle of all that, life doesn’t stop. Family members often become caregivers, balancing work, care, and daily responsibilities. When even simple tasks feel overwhelming, a clean, manageable home can make a real difference. Being able to step in and help—even in a small but meaningful way—truly matters to me. Providing a clean, calm home allows patients and their families to focus their energy where it’s needed most: on healing and on each other.”
As a Cleaning for a Reason partner, MaidPro of Lancaster will provide free home cleanings to two local cancer patients each month, with each patient receiving services for two consecutive months. The donated cleanings will support patients living in Lancaster and surrounding communities, including Akron, Bird in Hand, Columbia, Lititz, Manheim, Millersville, Mount Joy, Willow Street, and neighboring areas.
“Our goal is to offer more than a clean home,” Kambesis added. “We want patients to feel supported and cared for during a time when so much feels uncertain. Creating a peaceful, clean space is one way our team can show compassion and bring a bit of relief when it’s needed most.”
Any cancer patient—regardless of age, gender, or type of cancer—may apply for free cleaning services at cleaningforareason.org.
