Scrubbies Donating House Cleanings for Cancer Patients

Oxon Hill, MD – January 31, 2022 – Scrubbies, LLC has teamed up with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit providing free house cleaning to cancer patients throughout the United States and Canada. Owner Roderick Smith is committed to making a difference for families in the community and wants to extend their reach to helping cancer patients.
“Connecting with our community is an underlying principle in what we do as an organization,” said Smith. “We partnered with Cleaning for a Reason not only to help foster that connection with our local community, but also to honor our late grandmother, Linda Commey, who lost her battle with cancer in 2015. We know that she would be happy knowing that we are assisting future cancer survivors by removing their daily burden of cleaning so they can continue toward beating cancer for good.”
Through partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, Scrubbies supports two cancer patients’ homes each month for two consecutive months free of charge. This will be an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in Alexandria, VA; Fort Washington, MD; and Oxon Hill, MD.
