Bismarck, ND (KXNET) – April 29, 2024 — Cleaning for a Reason is a non-profit that strives to clean for cancer patients to relieve the stress of cleaning. Keely’s Graves, owner of Keely’s Cleaning Crew, partnered with the foundation to provide the services to the Bismarck-Mandan area.
“Within the last year we partnered with them,” said Graves, “Something I just kind of came across, and thought that it definitely fit our values and our mission. It was a way for us to give back to the community. In fact, my employees and a couple of my girls right now are doing a clean for a cancer patient.”
Keely said that last year, the group helped seven cancer patients. This year, she says that she would like to increase this number to ten in honor of the cleaning business’ tenth anniversary.
“It’s very overwhelming,” Graves concludes, “just seeing how much they appreciate it because it’s something that they can’t physically do. We don’t use any chemicals when we clean, and so that is very important to them as well, because they don’t want to be in and out or around the chemicals while they’re going through treatment and radiation and things.”
