ISSA GOES PINK!
Chicago, IL – June 20, 2017 – At the ISSA senior team meeting today, attendees went pink for the day, recognizing their recent merger with Cleaning For A Reason, a charity that offers free cleaning services to women fighting cancer.
“I can’t think of a more worthy cause or better fit for ISSA than Cleaning for a Reason,” said John Barret, ISSA executive director, in a news release. “We can’t remove a woman’s cancer, but we can wipe away one of her worries.”
Cleaning For A Reason has always had the support of ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association, but with a merger that’s being referred to as an “adoption,” the nonprofit will now be directly associated with ISSA’s charitable foundation. And that means it can expand its reach nationally—and even globally.
“ISSA has supported us since the organization’s inception, and it just makes sense for Cleaning for a Reason and ISSA to work together,” the nonprofit’s president and founder, Debbie Sardone, said in the release. “For more than a decade, we’ve been approached by people from different countries, asking if we can expand to other territories. The good news is, now we can.”
