From Survivor to Supporter: Bringing Clean Homes to Cancer Patients

Saint Hedwig, TX – December 18, 2025 – Green Flamingo Cleaning Services LLC, a locally owned cleaning company based in Saint Hedwig, Texas, is proud to announce its partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit organization that provides free professional home cleaning services to cancer patients. Gerry and Cami Giles, husband and wife owners, are deeply committed to giving back to their community by helping cancer patients maintain clean, healthy homes during treatment.
“As a Christian-based company, serving others is at the heart of what we do,” said Gerry Giles. “Having personally experienced cancer myself, I understand how overwhelming that journey can be and how much even a small act of help can mean. If having a clean home is one less thing someone has to worry about during that time, we’re grateful to be the ones who can make that difference.”
Through this partnership, Green Flamingo Cleaning Services will donate cleaning services to two cancer patients’ homes each month for two consecutive months, supporting cancer patients residing in Wilson County and surrounding areas, including La Vernia, Adkins, and St. Hedwig.
This commitment helps ease the physical and emotional burden many patients face while undergoing treatment, recovering from surgery, or receiving hospice care.
“We believe a clean, healthy home is not only critical for recovery but also a source of comfort during challenging times,” said co-owner Cami Giles. “Being able to provide this for local cancer patients—who are often immuno-compromised—and their caregivers is truly rewarding. Professional cleaning reduces dust, allergens, and bacteria, helping create a safer, healthier living environment.”
