LOCAL COMPANY MAKING A DIFFERENCE DURING COVID-19
Traverse City, MI – June 26, 2020 – At Your Service Cleaning has been donating home cleaning services to local cancer patients for the past five years through their partnership with nonprofit Cleaning for a Reason. Since 2015, At Your Service Cleaning has helped a total of 33 cancer patients with a donated value of $7,025 in cleanings.
“My cousin had a child diagnosed with cancer,” said owner Melissa Smith. “The child was the same age as one of our team members when she successfully battled cancer at a young age. Her journey has affected our team deeply, and each of us wants to shower love and a bit of cleaning sparkle to cancer patients who could use our support during this difficult time.”
Smith emphasized, “During this COVID-19 pandemic, it’s essential that we disinfect our homes on a regular basis, especially if there’s someone working outside the home. At Your Service Cleaning now offers disinfecting services to home owners and small business owners. We take the proper precautions to ensure the safety of our staff and clients, including the cancer patients because they are immuno-compromised. We are disinfecting equipment between homes; using an EPA-approved disinfectant for SARS-CoV-2; wearing masks, gloves, and booties and practicing social distancing when in a home.”
Through partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, At Your Service Cleaning performs home cleaning for four cancer patients each month for two consecutive months free of charge. This is an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Benzie, Kalkaska, and Antrim counties.
