LOCAL CLEANING COMPANY MAKING A DIFFERENCE

Southfield, MI – December 27, 2019 – Merry Maids of Southfield has been donating cleaning services to cancer patients for the past two years through its partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit serving cancer households through the gift of clean. Since 2017, Merry Maids of Southfield has helped a total of 18 cancer patients with donated cleanings valued at $6,692. The owner is committed to helping even more cancer patients in the community.

“Cancer has affected most everyone’s life in some way,” said owner Adrian Herbst. “The treatment process is physically and emotionally demanding for the patient, as well as their families. Having the opportunity to help families maintain their home and give them some peace of mind during this difficult process is the least we can do. Cleaning for a Reason provides us this opportunity, and we are honored to be partnered with such a great organization.”

Through partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, Merry Maids of Southfield works with cancer patients to clean at least four homes per month for two consecutive months free of charge. This will be an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in Metro Detroit.
