Charlestown, MA –September 2012 – Cancer affects a large number of women annually. When someone is going through cancer treatment they often do not have the strength to get out of bed, let alone clean an entire house by themselves. Ultimate Cleaning joined forces with Cleaning For A Reason to provide free house cleaning for women undergoing treatment for cancer. A clean home has been shown to be a better environment for cancer recovery.
Ultimate Cleaning commits to at least two patients, cleaning their houses monthly for four consecutive months. “We want to give back to the community & help people in need”, says Derek Dombrosio, of Ultimate Cleaning. “My mother has battled cancer, and I know how hard it can be on a family. Cleaning For A Reason joins forces with maid services in the United States and Canada to provide free house cleanings for women undergoing treatment for cancer. Cleaning For A Reason has gone from 800 partners to over 1,000 partnered maid services in the past twelve months. Since last year, Cleaning For A Reason has donated $1.3 million worth of cleanings to over 4,600 women. Companies that have joined Cleaning For A Reason’s cause have donated over $2.9 million in free services to more than 10,000 women with cancer.
