Dallas, TX – June 2, 2020 – Local cleaning franchise Two Maids & A Mop of Dallas has teamed up with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit serving cancer patients through free home cleanings. Owners Nicole Akers and Chrissy Reeves are committed to making a difference for families in the community and want to extend their reach to helping cancer patients.

“As a cancer survivor, I jumped at the chance to give back to others on this journey,” said Akers. “Having someone come clean your home is something small we can do but can make a big difference in how a cancer patient manages and feels. Many of our professional house cleaners (PHCs) are thrilled to help cancer patients as they also have relatives that have battled this disease.”

Said Reeves, “During the COVID-19 crisis, we are committed to helping cancer patients stay safe as they shelter in place. A clean, disinfected home is a healthy home when a patient’s immune system is compromised during treatment. We are following CDC guidelines by wearing masks, gloves, and booties, using an EPA-approved disinfectant, and practicing social distancing in a home.”

Through partnership with the nonprofit, Two Maids & A Mop of Dallas assists cancer patients by cleaning two homes per month for two consecutive months free of charge. This will be an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in Dallas and Collin counties.
