Tried & True Home Cleaning Extends a Helping Hand to Cancer Patients

Scotch Plains, NJ – May 16, 2025 – Local cleaning company Tried & True Home Cleaning has partnered with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit that provides free house cleaning to cancer patients across the United States and Canada. The company is dedicated to making life easier for those battling cancer by offering complimentary cleaning services.
This initiative is inspired by the legacy of the company’s founder, Susan Hernandez, who passed away from cancer in 2019. Tried & True Home Cleaning continues her mission to support patients during one of the most challenging times of their lives.
“Susan Hernandez started Tried & True Home Cleaning with the belief that a clean home brings comfort and peace,” shared owner Jhoanna Herrera. “After her passing, our team knew we wanted to honor her memory in a way that truly made a difference.” Understanding the overwhelming burden that cancer patients and their families face, the company decided to offer free cleaning services to help ease their daily struggles.
“We know firsthand how difficult life can be for those battling cancer,” continued Herrera. “The physical and emotional toll is immense, and the last thing anyone should worry about is keeping their home clean. This is our way of giving back and keeping Susan’s compassionate spirit alive.”
Through its partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, Tried & True Home Cleaning provides free cleaning services to two cancer patients each month for two consecutive months. This service is available to cancer patients residing in Union County and will continue on an ongoing basis.
