NATIONAL CLEANING FOR A REASON WEEK, APRIL 18-24
California, MD – April 21, 2020 – Spare Hands Cleaning, LLC has been generously donating cleaning services to local cancer patients for the past five years through their partnership with nonprofit Cleaning for a Reason. The company wants to bring heightened awareness of the cause to the area during Cleaning for a Reason Week, April 18-24. The goal is to help more households battling any type of cancer to receive the gift of a clean home.
“This cause is dear to our family as we have lost loved ones to cancer over the years,” said owner Deborah Yates. “Partnering with Cleaning for a Reason has allowed us to meet some wonderful people who have truly touched our hearts. It’s been our pleasure to help them during this most difficult time.
Manager Leanne Hicks, daughter of Yates, said, “Our experiences have been both joyful and sad. Joyful to help those in need, even for just a short time. And such sadness and a heavy heart when the battle has been lost. We are also working as an essential business during this COVID-19 crisis to provide clean, healthy, and safe homes for all of our clients, especially the cancer patients.”
Through partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, Spare Hands Cleaning supports two homes per month for two consecutive months free of charge. This is an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in Southern Maryland, including St. Mary’s, lower to mid Calvert, and Southern Charles counties.
