Nonprofit Celebrates Top 100 Partners for Most Cancer Patients Served

CLEANING INDUSTRY WIPING OUT CANCER ONE HOME AT A TIME
Dallas, TX – December 4, 2020 – Cleaning for a Reason, an ISSA Charity whose mission is free house cleanings for cancer patients, hosted a Virtual Happy Hour on Wednesday, November 17, 2020, to recognize its top partners for extraordinary acts of benevolence in the prior year.
The staff—including Debbie Sardone, founder and MC for the evening—were on hand to thank those in attendance for their ongoing support, particularly the cleaning companies that they partner with for their generous donation of more than $14.1 million in free house cleanings to more than 41,000 cancer patients over the past 14 years. The founder conveys the message that one makes a living by what one gets, but makes a life by what one gives.
“Cleaning for a Reason is actually not about cleaning,” said Sardone. “It’s about people who CAN, helping people who CAN’T… and cleaning companies around the country have learned this: you can make a living as a hard worker or you can make a LIFE as a heart worker.”
The event took place at this year’s annual ISSA cleaning trade association convention, which—in a year like no other—became the 2020 ISSA Show North America Virtual Experience. Notwithstanding the coronavirus pandemic, the annual ISSA Show originally scheduled for Chicago moved to a fully virtual event.
With more than 1,200 cleaning partners throughout the United States and Canada, Cleaning for a Reason recognized the Top 100 Cleaning Companies for 2019 as announced on their newly debuted website at the ISSA Show. These 100 companies served the most cancer patients in 2019, with special mention of the Top 10 companies.

Having served 46 cancer patients in 2019, top partner Maids and Moore of Travis set a new historical record for most patients served by a partner in a given year.
The celebration was made complete with generously donated door prizes from sponsors Speed Cleaning, CleanPacs, and SpongeOutlet.
Cleaning for a Reason is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers free home cleaning to cancer patients in the United States and Canada.
