Merry Maids of Southeast WI Lends a Helping Hand to Cancer Patients

East Troy, WI – May 14, 2025 – Merry Maids of Southeast WI is proud to announce its new partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit organization providing free home cleanings to cancer patients across the United States and Canada. This partnership reflects the company’s deep commitment to uplifting and serving the community—one clean home at a time.
As part of this compassionate initiative, Merry Maids of Southeast WI is offering the gift of a clean, healthy living space to cancer patients undergoing treatment, recovering from surgery, or receiving hospice care in the region. The goal is simple yet powerful: to ease burdens and bring comfort when it’s needed most.
“Partnering with Cleaning for a Reason was a natural step for us,” said Theresa Waterman, co-owner of Merry Maids of Southeast WI. “We’ve had loved ones face cancer, and we’ve seen how overwhelming life becomes during treatment. If we can bring a little light and comfort by simply doing what we do best—cleaning homes—then why wouldn’t we? It’s our honor to support people when they need it most.”
Through this ongoing partnership, Merry Maids of Southeast WI is donating home cleaning services to two cancer patients each month for two consecutive months. These services are available to cancer patients of any age, gender, or cancer type residing in Walworth County and parts of Waukesha County, Racine County, and Kenosha County
