Maid to Perfection Donating House Cleaning to Cancer Patients

LOCAL COMPANY MAKING A DIFFERENCE DURING COVID-19
Lumberton, TX – September 11, 2020 – Maid to Perfection has teamed up with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit providing free house cleaning to cancer patients throughout the United States and Canada. Owner Kimberly Halbert understands the importance of a clean environment when undergoing illness and is committed to making a difference for cancer patients and their families.
“My dad has a brain tumor and a quarter of it is all that could be removed due to its location,” said Halbert. “Fortunately it’s not cancer. Waiting for the biopsy was an extremely emotional time, along with the radiation sessions, ongoing medical care, and recent discovery of the rapid regrowth of the tumor. His care is all that our family can manage. I’m honored to support cancer patients and allow them to focus on health and family, while we focus on the home.”
Halbert emphasized, “During this COVID-19 crisis, we are following CDC guidelines to provide not only a clean home, but also a safe, healthy home for all of our clients, especially the cancer patients we serve. We use an EPA-approved disinfectant, wear masks and gloves, and practice social distancing when in a home.”
Through partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, Maid to Perfection supports two homes each month for two consecutive months free of charge. This is an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in Lumberton and the surrounding areas all the way to Bolivar Peninsula.
