Maid Brigade of NW Houston Celebrates 5 Years of Giving Back to Women Battling Cancer

MAID BRIGADE OF NW HOUSTON ANNOUNCES 5TH ANNIVERSARY WITH THE NONPROFIT CLEANING FOR A REASON
Houston, Texas – August 13, 2014 – Maid Brigade of NW Houston,since 1999, is a family-owned franchise cleaning company that has teamed up with Cleaning For A Reason, an international nonprofit foundation. As a volunteer affiliate with the nonprofit for the past five years, Maid Brigade of NW Houston has donated house cleanings to more than 50 women battling cancer in the area.
Laura Stark, general manager, states, “As a business, we were drawn to Cleaning For A Reason because we believe in their mission to help those going through a very difficult period in their life. As a family and business operator, it is important to contribute to the community in which we all live and serve. All of us have been touched by personally knowing someone with cancer or other illness in our lives.”
As a local resident and business owner, Stark adds, “Being a family that has resided in Northwest Houston for more than 20 years and a small business owner that has served the community for nearly 15 years, it is important to us to stand out from our competition. Our commitment is to provide a better product and superior customer service, and also to set a standard in our industry that heralds the importance of giving back to the community that supports us. We cannot imagine doing a business in a community and not engaging in the quality of life in that community, which we all share.”
The company has agreed to help women battling cancer by cleaning four homes per month for four consecutive months at no charge. The only requirement is that the homes be within the company’s existing service areas of Tomball, Cypress, Champions, and Jersey Village.
