Urban Cleaning Service Sparkles Up Homes for Cancer Patients

LOCAL CLEANING COMPANY MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Dearborn, MI – January 13, 2026 – Urban Cleaning Service, LLC has partnered with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit providing free home cleaning to cancer patients across the United States and Canada. Owner Michelle Reed shared her deeply personal connection to this mission.
“Cancer reshaped our family forever,” said Reed. “Losing my husband to liver cancer in 2021 showed us just how overwhelming the smallest daily tasks can become. Married for 30 years and raising five children together, we experienced the uncertainty, the exhaustion, and the support that a cancer diagnosis brings. Partnering with Cleaning for a Reason gives our company a meaningful way to pay that forward. We understand how the toll of this horrible disease can create a gap in household chores, and our goal is to ease that burden for families during their time of need.”
Through this partnership, Urban Cleaning Service will donate professional house cleanings to two cancer patients each month, with each patient receiving services for two consecutive months at no cost.
Reed added, “Because we already offer a Senior Care Cleaning program, we are very familiar with helping individuals who need additional support at home—especially those returning from rehabilitation or a hospital stay. Our team understands how important it is to have a clean, safe, and prepared environment during a vulnerable time. That same compassion and attention to detail is what we bring to the cancer patients we serve through this partnership.”
This complimentary service is available to cancer patients of any age, gender, or diagnosis residing in Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties. Cancer patients may apply directly at cleaningforareason.org.
