Maid Affordable Celebrates 10 Years of Cleaning for Cancer Patients

LOCAL COMPANY PROMOTING CLEANING FOR A REASON WEEK
San Antonio, Texas – April 25, 2019 – For the past 10 years, Maid Affordable has teamed up with Cleaning For A Reason, an international nonprofit providing free cleaning to households with cancer. Owners Christianne Taylor, Vanessa Benke and Tabitha Cortez are committed to bringing heightened awareness of the cause to the area during Cleaning For A Reason Week, April 18–24. The goal is to help more households battling any type of cancer.
“Before partnering with the nonprofit, our company was already donating cleanings to a mother with cancer,” said Taylor. “While she was going through the most tremendously challenging time in her life, we saw how cleaning, while seemingly small, made a huge impact and took a load off for both her and her husband. When we heard about Cleaning For A Reason, we jumped right in because we felt a God-given calling to serve those battling cancer.”
“In our past 10 years of partnership with the nonprofit, we have had the privilege of helping 52 cancer patients in their hour of need,” said Cortez. Maid Affordable has agreed to help cancer patients by cleaning at least 2 homes per month for two consecutive months at no charge. The only requirement is that the homes be within their service territory of San Antonio and the surrounding areas of Helotes, Boerne, Fair Oaks, Schertz, Universal City, Selma, and Mico.
