Two Maids Expands Care to Williamsburg for Cancer Patients

LOCAL CLEANING COMPANY MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Williamsburg, VA – September 12, 2025 – Two Maids of Williamsburg is proud to announce its partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing free home cleanings for cancer patients. This initiative helps ease the burden of household chores so families can focus on treatment and healing.
Owner Lee Sheridan, who also operates Two Maids of Virginia Beach, Two Maids of Chesapeake, and Two Maids of Suffolk—all active partners with Cleaning for a Reason—first joined the nonprofit in April 2017 with the Virginia Beach location. Since then, his locations have supported nearly 130 cancer patients across these communities with donated cleanings valued at $41,463. With the addition of Two Maids of Williamsburg, Sheridan continues this mission, extending free cleaning services to more cancer patients and families in the region.
“Cancer has impacted us all. Our partnership with Cleaning for a Reason gives us the opportunity to care for patients and families who should be focusing on recovery and hope,” said Sheridan. “It’s incredible the impact a clean home can have on both mind and body, and we are truly honored to serve in this way.”
Through this new partnership, Two Maids of Williamsburg will provide free cleaning services to two cancer patients each month for two consecutive months. The program is available to patients living in Hampton, Newport News, Yorktown, Seaford, Gloucester, and Williamsburg.
Cancer patients—of any age, gender, or type of cancer— may apply at cleaningforareason.org.
This charitable effort is part of the Elite Corporate Franchise Partnership between Two Maids and Cleaning for a Reason, which encourages franchise locations nationwide to give back. Since joining the cause in 2013, Two Maids has served 2,702 cancer patients, donating cleanings valued at more than $930,574.
