LaSalle, IL– February 18, 2013- A small town community business with a big heart is teaming up with nonprofit Cleaning For A Reason to rally support around families in their community so they can “take the burden of cleaning off the patient and have them focus on getting well,” says Teresa Anderson, owner. Anderson, a lifelong resident of Illinois Valley began her business in 2008 recognized how something as simple as providing free cleaning can make all the difference in the world to someone in the midst of battling cancer.
This local business owner wants to provide women undergoing cancer treatment a helping hand, since she knows firsthand the impact this disease can have on a family, “both of my grandmothers had cancer,” says Anderson.
That’s why Illinois Valley Clean Team, Inc decided to volunteer their time to clean two homes per month for four consecutive months, free of charge.
Since 2006 Cleaning For A Reason has donated over 12,000 free cleanings to women battling cancer. The organization utilizes a network of over 1,000 residential cleaning services in the United States and Canada, which have donated over $3,300,000 worth of services.
