Great Pines Cleaning Donates Services to Cancer Patients

LOCAL COMPANY MAKING A DIFFERENCE DURING COVID-19
Sherwood, OR – March 31, 2021 – Great Pines Cleaning has teamed up with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit providing free house cleaning to cancer patients throughout the United States and Canada. Owners Shawn and Andrea Rouse are committed to making a difference for families in the local community and want to extend their reach to helping cancer patients.
“One of our biggest goals when we started the business was to give back to the community through acts of kindness and charity,” said Andrea Rouse. “My husband and I both have family who have suffered with cancer. A service like this would have been such a blessing. We are also parents who want to teach our six children the importance of helping others. We are blessed every day, and the best way to show gratitude is to do what we can to show others support, especially in their hour of need.”
Through partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, Great Pines Cleaning supports two homes each month for two consecutive months free of charge. This is an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in Sherwood, Tigard, Tualatin, Wilsonville, Newberg, and McMinnville.
Shawn Rouse emphasized, “During this COVID-19 pandemic, we are following CDC guidelines to prevent the spread of viruses, including the use of EPA-approved disinfectants and wearing a mask and gloves, while social distancing when cleaning in a home. We are committed to keeping our staff and clients safe, especially the cancer patients we serve.”
