LOCAL STARTUP INSPIRIED BY STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS TO GIVE BACK
Waxhaw, NC– February 25, 2013- Charlotte is the 17th largest city in the US based on population and the home to several professional sporting teams and a new residential maid service, Girl Friday Cleaning.
This new startup has teamed up with Cleaning For A Reason, an international nonprofit foundation who provides cleaning services for women battling cancer. Gayla Haag, owner was inspired by the State of the Union Address, “we all need to give back,” which is why she decided to become involved in giving back in her local community.
Girl Friday Cleaning will provide free cleaning services for two women per month for four consecutive months, free of charge.
Since 2006 Cleaning For A Reason has donated over 12,000 free cleanings to women battling cancer. The organization utilizes a network of over 1,000 residential cleaning services in the United States and Canada, which have donated over $3,300,000 worth of services.
