GDI Partners With Nonprofit to Clean for Cancer Patients in Six Cities

GDI AND CLEANING FOR A REASON MAKING A DIFFERENCE
King of Prussia, PA – April 22, 2025 – GDI Integrated Facility Services is joining forces with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit and ISSA Charity, to host a Volunteer Day in six cities across the Northeast and Midwest. On Wednesday, April 30, GDI teams will be volunteering in Boston, MA; Manhattan, NY; Columbus, OH; King of Prussia, PA; Philadelphia, PA; and Pittsburgh, PA to clean the homes of cancer patients in need of support and relief.
Each home cleaning will be led by a local crew chief from a participating residential cleaning company partnered with Cleaning for a Reason. Contributing companies include Amazing Maids (Boston, MA), Maid Sailors (Manhattan, NY), eMaids of Northern Columbus (Columbus, OH), The Natural Clean Queen (King of Prussia, PA), Keep It Clean With Raylene (Philadelphia, PA), and Mrs. Clean Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh, PA). Their participation ensures a high level of service and care is provided to each patient served.
“These cleanings are so much more than a tidy home,” said Sandy Wolfrum, Director of Development for ISSA Charities. “They are a visible sign of hope and support—proof to cancer patients and their families that they are not alone. While this special day will bring comfort and care to six families, many more are still waiting. Cleaning for a Reason depends on the generosity of donors and partners to continue its mission. Donations directly support efforts to connect over 1,400 participating cleaning companies with local cancer patients, recruit new residential cleaning partners, collaborate with cancer centers and patient navigators, and raise awareness so that more patients can receive the gift of a clean home. As demand continues to grow, community support is more important than ever.
