GDI and Cleaning for a Reason Join Forces to Serve Cancer Patients in Seven Cities

GDI AND CLEANING FOR A REASON MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Philadelphia, PA – March 24, 2026 – GDI Integrated Facility Services is partnering once again with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit and ISSA Charity, to host a Volunteer Day across seven cities in the Northeast and Midwest. On Thursday, April 2, 2026, GDI teams will be volunteering in Boston, MA; New Haven, CT; Manhattan, NY; Cleveland, OH; King of Prussia, PA; Philadelphia, PA; and Pittsburgh, PA, providing free home cleanings for cancer patients in need of support and relief.
This Volunteer Day is part of Cleaning for a Reason Month, celebrating the nonprofit’s 20th anniversary of helping cancer patients live in a clean, healthy home. In addition, GDI is making a generous $5,000 donation to support the organization’s mission and help expand services to more cancer patients in need.
Several volunteer teams will be led by a local crew chief from a participating residential cleaning company partnered with Cleaning for a Reason, including Maid Sailors Cleaning Service (Manhattan, NY), The Cleaning Authority of Broadview Heights (Cleveland, OH), The Natural Clean Queen (King of Prussia, PA), and Keep It Clean With Raylene (Philadelphia, PA). The remaining cleanings will be led by experienced GDI staff, ensuring each patient receives a high-quality, compassionate service.

While this Volunteer Day will touch the lives of several families, many more are still waiting for help. Cleaning for a Reason relies on the generosity of donors and partners to continue connecting over 1,400 participating cleaning companies with local cancer patients, recruit new residential cleaning partners, collaborate with cancer centers and patient navigators, and raise awareness so that more patients can receive the gift of a clean home.
