Flying Broom Maids Donates Cleaning Services to Cancer Patients

LOCAL CLEANING COMPANY MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Dickinson, TX – December 21, 2022 – Flying Broom Maids has partnered with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit providing free home cleaning to cancer patients. Owner Jodie Scott has made a career of fighting cancer and wants to continue supporting cancer patients with her new cleaning business.

“I have a medical license in radiology,” said Scott. “I was drawn to Cleaning for a Reason because I’ve spent my career fighting cancer as a specialist in breast imaging. I have also worked in X-ray, DEXA, and Cat Scan (CT). I started my cleaning company during the pandemic. I was working from home and with extra time on my hands, I decided to help some elderly folks clean their home. I had a close friend help me and as we started cleaning for more families, I began seeing the need for this type of service. And just like that, The Flying Broom Maids started pushing their brooms around!” |
Through partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, Flying Broom Maids supports two cancer patients’ homes each month for two consecutive months free of charge. This is an ongoing service for patients residing in Galveston County.
Said Scott, “I’ve been wanting to give back to my community. I feel so excited and so blessed to donate our services to families most in need of a clean, safe, healthy home.”
