Ellen Bright Cleaning Services Stands by Cancer Patients

Boston, MA – October 19, 2023 – Ellen Bright Cleaning Services, Inc. has joined forces with Cleaning for a Reason, a non-profit organization offering free house cleaning services to individuals battling cancer. Owner Ellen Perpetuo Guimaraes is committed to expanding their services and support to create a significant, positive impact on the lives of local cancer patients and their families.
“Becoming a Cleaning for a Reason partner holds deep meaning for me,” said Guimaraes. “I’ve sadly lost close family members and clients to cancer, and the recent loss of my cousin was particularly heartbreaking. One of my clients, Nancy, was a special person. Our cleaning days were filled with conversation, laughter, and warmth. Sadly, in August, I learned of her passing without any notice.”
“Joining Cleaning for a Reason is an opportunity to bring some joy to those fighting cancer. I want to make a difference in their lives, even if it’s just for a day, in honor of Nancy and all the others I’ve lost to this devastating illness.”
Through partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, Ellen Bright Cleaning Services supports two cancer patients homes each month for two consecutive months free of charge. This is an ongoing service for patients residing in the Boston metropolitan area, encompassing locations up to 15 miles from East Boston.
