Deshields Cleaning Services Making a Difference for Cancer Patients

Crystal Lake, IL – January 18, 2020 – Deshields Cleaning Services, LLC has teamed up with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit providing free house cleaning to cancer patients throughout the United States and Canada. Owner Christianne Deshields is committed to making a difference for families in the community and wants to extend their reach to helping cancer patients.
“I felt drawn to Cleaning for a Reason because of my own experience supporting someone battling breast cancer and enduring the harsh effects of treatments and the emotional toll of the battle,” said Deshields. “The ability to support others in this battle now means so much to me!”
Through partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, Deshields Cleaning Services supports two cancer patients’ homes each month for two consecutive months free of charge. This will be an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in the Northwest Suburbs, including Algonquin, Barrington, Carpentersville, Cary, Crystal Lake, Dundee, Fox River Grove, Gilberts, Huntley, Lake in the Hills, McHenry, and Elgin.
Deshields emphasized, “Now more than ever during this COVID-19 crisis, I’m committed to making a difference for households, especially the cancer households, to slow the spread of infection. We are following CDC guidelines to use an EPA disinfectant, to wear masks and gloves, and to socially distance in a home when cleaning.”
