Listen to Cleaning for a Reason founder Debbie Sardone speak with Gwen Sterk, attorney and best selling legal author, to understand why Cleaning for a Reason is showcased as Sterk Family Law Group’s February 2024 Non-Profit Hero!

Orland Park, IL – February 9, 2024 – For helping to make life more manageable for cancer patients presently undergoing treatment, Cleaning for a Reason has been chosen by Sterk Family Law Group, P.C. as the February 2024 Non-Profit Hero of the month.

Cleaning for a Reason was founded by business owner Debbie Sardone, an entrepreneur, who owns a professional residential cleaning company.

After a prospective client confided she was unable to afford home cleaning services, while she was undergoing cancer treatment, Debbie Sardone made it her personal mission to ensure nobody undergoing cancer treatment would ever be turned away by her business.

Debbie had the idea to start a nonprofit while speaking with a prospective residential cleaning client. The woman told Debbie she wouldn’t be able to afford home cleaning as she was undergoing cancer treatment. In that instant, Debbie decided that no one undergoing cancer treatment would ever be turned away by her business. Debbie’s idea cleared the way for Cleaning for a Reason, which provides free home cleaning to patients battling cancer.

Cleaning for a Reason grew into a national non-profit organization with Debbie Sardone’s selfless idea helping over 50,000 cancer patients in the United States and Canada.

If you or someone you love has been affected by cancer…you know first-hand the physical, emotional and mental exhaustion caused by the side-effects.

Simply standing up from a chair can seem like running a marathon…cleaning the house is the last thing a cancer patient needs to be doing…and that is when this month’s non-profit hero shows up at the door to work miracles.

A clean home is not only essential from a medical standpoint, but will also make life easier to manage, and boost patient morale, which can greatly benefit the healing process.  A clean home will have a positive impact on a patient mentally, physically and emotionally.

Cleaning for a Reason is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization offering free home cleaning services to cancer patients in the United States and Canada.

Cleaning for a Reason exists to remove the burden of cleaning so patients recovering from surgery, in active treatment, or in hospice, will be able to focus on their health, healing and loved ones.

Any adult or child who is presently undergoing active cancer treatment is eligible to apply for two FREE cleaning services from Cleaning for a Reason. Use this patient link to fill out the registration form. https://cleaningforareason.my….

If the application is for yourself, you are welcome to fill out the application for yourself. If your cancer treatment prevents you from filling it out yourself, you may appoint someone else to do it on your behalf.

If you are a family member, friend, nurse or other caregiver for a cancer patient, you may fill out the application on behalf of a patient who is undergoing cancer treatment and wishes to receive services from Cleaning for a Reason.

Residential cleaning company partners are essential to Cleaning for a Reason, by selflessly donating time and services to support cancer patients and their families.

If you own or manage a professional cleaning service of any size and would like to get involved with this worthwhile cause by donating free house cleanings for women, men, and children undergoing active cancer treatment, reach out to Cleaning for a Cause using this link set up for cleaning partners: https://cleaningforareason.my….
