Cancer Patients Rely on Maids R Us Hospitality and Cleaning Services

Roanoke Rapids, NC – March 30, 2020 – Maids R Us Hospitality and Cleaning Services has teamed up with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit providing free house cleaning to cancer patients throughout the United States and Canada. Owner Elizabeth Hopson understands the value of a clean environment for cancer patients at a time when they may not be able to clean for themselves or afford a service.
“Partnering with Cleaning for a Reason is personal for me, as I lost my mother to lung cancer,” said Hopson. “I truly understand how much having a free house cleaning would mean when you lack the strength for household chores, yet need a clean, sanitized space more than ever before. And cancer care likely requires any extra resources you have. It’s truly an honor to support cancer patients as you can’t go wrong with showing love and simply being kind.”
Through partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, Maids R Us Hospitality and Cleaning Servicessupports two homes each month for two consecutive months free of charge. This is an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in Roanoke Rapids, Littleton, and Lake Gaston.
Said Hopson, “During this COVID-19 crisis, we understand the role we play and its importance in healthcare and will continue to practice and educate ourselves to provide a safe and healthy environment. We are now HCT (House Cleaning Technician) Certified and also certified in COVID-19 and Disinfection Defense Response Training with emphasis on SARS-Cov-2/COVID 19 and preventative maintenance. Our certifications are recognized by both the CDC and WHO (World Health Organization). We follow all protocols, including use of a mask, gloves, and booties and social distancing when in a home.”
