Cancer Patients Can Rely on Just Like Moms Housecleaning

The Villages, FL – February 16, 2024 – Just Like Moms Housecleaning has teamed up with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit providing free house cleaning to cancer patients. Owners Christine Gerard and fiancé Shawn Rushford are dedicated community members, committed to supporting their neighbors in need.
“As residents of The Villages, we are deeply committed to supporting our community and giving back as much as we can,” shared Gerard. “That’s why we’ve partnered with Cleaning for a Reason to provide free house cleaning services to cancer patients and their families. Our goal is simple: to offer practical assistance and comfort to our neighbors during their time of need. By ensuring cancer patients have a clean and comfortable home environment, we’re alleviating some of the stress and burden associated with their treatment, allowing them to focus on what matters most: their health and well-being.”
Through partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, Just Like Moms Housecleaning supports two cancer patients homes each month for two consecutive months free of charge. This is an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in The Villages and the vicinity, including Eastlake Weir, Lady Lake, Ocklawaha, Weirsdale, Oxford, Summerfield, Fruitland Park, Leesburg, and Wildwood.
Gerard continued, “When we clean for cancer patients, it’s not just about tidying up their homes. It’s like saying, ‘Hey, we’ve got your back in this fight.’ We’re all about making that personal connection, showing we truly care about how they’re doing overall. No individual or family should feel alone in the battle against cancer.”
