Cancer Patients Can Count on Cleaning by Carrie

Galion, OH – March 26, 2021 – Cleaning by Carrie has teamed up with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit providing free house cleaning to cancer patients. Owner Carrie Cottrell is committed to making a difference for families in the community and wants to extend their reach to helping cancer patients.
“Cleaning by Carrie wants more than anything to give back to the community that has been so generous to us,” said Cottrell. “I started my cleaning company in my bedroom 10 years ago as a form of pocket money and have grown it to one of the largest cleaning companies in Crawford County. I’m thrilled to provide a clean, healthy, and safe home environment for cancer patients, who are immune compromised and in the fight of their lives. It’s our privilege to focus on their homes, while they focus on their health and their families.”
Through partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, Cleaning by Carrie supports two cancer patients’ homes each month for two consecutive months free of charge. This is an ongoing service for cancer patients residing in Richland, Crawford, and Morrow Counties.
Cottrell emphasized, “During this COVID-19 crisis, we are committed to helping clients, including the cancer patients we serve, feel safe in their space, whether it’s a home or an office. We are following CDC guidelines to use an EPA-approved disinfectant and to wear masks and gloves and socially distance when cleaning. We disinfect all high-touch areas, such as light switches, handrails, elevator buttons, door handles and entryway doors, restroom faucets and dispensers, phones, keyboards, and mouse devices.”
