All Star Cleaning Services Celebrates 14 Years of Supporting Cancer Patients

LOCAL COMPANY MAKING A DIFFERENCE DURING COVID-19
Fort Collins, CO – April 7, 2021 – A local house cleaning company continues to make a difference for cancer patients in the area. All Star Cleaning Services has partnered for 14 years with Cleaning for a Reason, a nonprofit serving cancer patients through free house cleaning. Owner Laura Smith understands the importance of a clean environment when undergoing treatment and is committed to making a difference for cancer patients and their families.
“I’ve always felt strongly about giving back to our community, and Cleaning for a Reason has been a wonderful way to do that,” said Smith. “We have helped so many strangers and also friends, including my kids’ former nanny, my former foster mother, and an employee’s parents. Seeing firsthand the impact a clean home has on their lives is very special. The work we do has become personal to me since my eight-year old daughter was diagnosed with cancer last year. I absolutely love being able to clean for families before they bring their children home from the hospital following an oncology diagnosis.”
Since February 2007, All Star Cleaning Services has supported 84 cancer patients and their families with a total donated value of $19,315 in cleanings. Through partnership with Cleaning for a Reason, All Star Cleaning Services assists cancer patients by cleaning two homes per month for two consecutive months free of charge. This is an ongoing service to cancer patients residing in Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor, Wellington, and Laporte.
Smith emphasized, “During this COVID-19 pandemic, All Star Cleaning Services is committed to creating a clean, healthy, and safe environment for all of our clients, especially the cancer patients we serve. All of our teams are certified in COVID-19 safe cleaning. We are following CDC guidelines to socially distance when in a home, to wear masks and gloves, and to use an EPA-approved disinfectant, especially in the high touch areas throughout the home.”

Locally founded by a Fort Collins native, All Star Cleaning Services launched in 2006. Bonded and insured, the company offers top to bottom house residential and office cleaning services. The company uses primarily natural products and added a disinfectant after COVID-19.
Owner Laura Smith went from foster home to successful business owner. Smith started cleaning homes to support her family, and when she got so busy, her husband helped out. They had so many clients that Smith had to hire her first employees.
Flash forward 14 years and Smith now has her own successful cleaning business with over 50 employees and 650 clients. She’s even moved her company into a bigger space located in the former Red Cross building at 120 W Saturn Drive in Fort Collins.
